Not sure this helps. When I bought my tundra the dealer gave me a list of options only they could program and told me to bring it back for the 1,000 mile inspection. Got rid of all dinging including the seat belt ding which is handy for hunting.

Pinstripes, lots of em. Plus a couple dents.
I wear my seat belt on the public road every day. However, going from my gate to my house on a private road it not needed.

I didn't think a dealer would turn off the seat belt chime someone somewhere will have it turned off get into an accident then sue the dealer. It happens...

Newly surfaced annoying issue: I primarily listen to blue tooth music from my iPhone. Lately, when I get in, the music pops on at my desired volume for a few seconds. (Say long enough to back out of a parking space and get going in the right direction), then the volume drops for a minute or two, then it pops back to full volume. Damndest thing. I can't even guess what the issue is.

This is part of the reason I got rid of my Tacoma, and got a 2019 4runner....No 2020 for me! I don’t think you can change some settings but that came from idiots at my dealer.

I don't recall seeing door dings on the Carista list. Seat belts, yes. Have you actually tried it to disable the dings?

    1. Still cannot use hands free calling on either Apple Carplay OR Bluetooth do to annoying echo on recipients end even after the latest 1047 software update and IOS updates. EXTREMELY ANNOYING and unsafe to have to hold my phone to my ear and drive. I'm constantly pulling over to have business conversations as I still haven't found a reasonable solution.

    2. Interior sunroof shade rattles.

    3. Adaptive cruise control is frustrating.

As far as #1, have you tried turning the volume on your phone down while in a call?

    I've tried:
Adjusting the iPhone bluetooth volume all the way up
Adjusting the iPhone bluetooth volume all the way down
Adjusting the ln call volume settings up and down through the head unit.
unpairing/pairing the phone before and after updates
4 different cables and 2 different usb adapters
Putting the phone in my pocket during calls
    Muting/unmuting the call in progress

i asked the dealership the same thing. they thought i was nuts. i figured out that if you get out of the car right after driving it and push the start button to turn off vehicle. then open driver door it dings then close the driver door and then reopen it again it will Not ding. could you try this on yours? I went to the dealership and tried a SR5 premium and it did this too.

Previous post was correct - it turns out it only happens if you open the door before shutting off the engine.

You can switch to traditional cruise control by holding down the button 1.5 seconds while it is off and it will disable the adaptive cruise.

That does work, figured that out early on. Each push cycles through on, acc, then off. Or whatever the normal modes are on a keyed system.
