No, it's not a part, but my sales department asked me to see what I could do for them, so here it is. :D

We have a brand new 2018 4Runner SR5 Premium for sale. Back in 2018, the sales department wanted to experiment with putting on a..... generous amount of accessories. So, naturally, I was all for it. I'll attach the spec sheet to this post. Here's a list of addons for it:

    Toytec 1" body lift
    OME 3" suspension lift
    Gobi Rack/ladder
    Warn 8000lb winch w/synthetic rope
    Shrockworks front bumper
Shrockworks rear bumper w/ two jerry can mount
    Shrockworks sliders
    Shrockworks engine/transmission skid plates
Stealth Custom 17x8.5 SR8 wheels w/ TRD center caps
    285/70R17 Ridge Grapplers
    Blackout emblem overlays

If you have any other specific questions about the truck, feel free to ask. Price on the sticker is $65k with all add ons. They are willing to let it go for $57k. Lots of parts and a lot of wrench time from Toyota certified mechanics on this one.

Your salesmen ought to know that aftermarket accessories don't add value to a vehicle.

Or maybe they only tell people that when it's time to trade in...

    Nope. Just a parts guy.

Yes, they did relocate the back up camera.

It's a 3" lift. No need to add UCAs. I wanted to throw some on, but they nixed it along with some other parts I was wanting to add. Probably good they did, now that I think about it.

    I definitely will. :)

As far as the price goes, I know the truck has close to $20k in add ons with labor. Hell, the tech got paid over 40 hours of labor on it, which he deserved. He put a lot of time in on that truck.

I think it looks good. Great choice of overland parts, and a good start on an off road worthy vehicle. We forget how much we sink into our vehicles over many years to achieve the same effect. You guys just haven’t found the sweet spot yet where someone will buy it, but the mods are tastefully done, and it will sell, easily.

They are definitely all quality parts. I made sure to do my research into everything before selecting them. I think sales just went a little overboard, but they wanted to give it a try. Can't knock them for that.

With a 3 inch lift the geometry changes are significant. UCAs are needed to get proper tire wear, steering, tracking, and over all control of the vehicle at highway speed.
Ask any off road shop or alignment tech.
Will the truck be able to drive without UCA, sure but it is far from a well thought out build if you are going 3 inches without UCAs. With all those other adds on you bolted up, frankly I am shocked they were not considered to be warranted over a jerry can set up or the body lift.

So, you're saying the alignment can't possibly be in spec with a 3" lift and no aftermarket UCAs?

I am saying you failed to install an operative component when doing a 3 inch lift.
Again, can you get away with no after market UCA, yes. Was it short sided not go with UCAs, absolutely.
If you were doing a budget build then I get it, but AGAIN, look at all the money you threw at that thing, only to skimp on a something that would lend itself to meaningful mod is a fail.

I can't even believe you are defending this. Well you are trying to unload a loser, so I guess I can. You even stated that you wanted to add them. Let's just call a spade a spade here.

Lets not forget the drivability of it. 3” lift and 1” body lift on stock UCA’s id hate see how it drives doing 80 on the interstate with stock UCA’s.

I'm not necessarily defending their choice to not include them. I wanted to put them on, remember. But, they asked if they were necessary, I told them no, and so they said don't include them. The alignment is in spec. I have driven the truck and don't see any appreciable difference in the way it handles. I know caster is an issue with this much lift, but they are able to keep it in spec. We've done several leveling kits as well as suspension lifts, and 95% of them leave with no aftermarket UCAs and in spec. One 4Runner has returned with a broken ball joint because they took it off road with a leveling kit, even after being told not to, and we added SPCs to it.

I think we agree that it would have been better to have them, though it is not necessary.

SPCs are great arms and provide great +caster.
I stand behind my position the build fell short in relation to the total spend in not including aftermarket UCAs.

    Anyhow GLWS.

Should've used an Off Road model.
The lack of a locking rear dif and crazy high price is probably why it's sat for so long.
