Streamline bumper and skids for 5th gen 4runner. I got the shipping notification on the 3rd.

 

Then it was with the stuff that went out the other day. You should have it shortly then!

I'm installing a lift on Saturday as well! BIG WEEKEND!

 

My guess will be end of the week. But Mon/Tues at the latest. You can call and check on your tracking via fastenal just to see.

@SOS CONCEPTS - I picked up the bumper and skids today. Wow! Excellent work, guys!

We're prepping and painting them today.

 

So I'm impressed with the prep and paint set up. This is probably why my paint sucks though. I can't wait to see the finished product.

@SOS CONCEPTS - apparently your skid plates are not compatible with KDSS?

 

Very few skids are. Need to remove the odds system or front sway bar. Makes no sense to have a sway bar installed if wheeling anyway.

You may be able to add a spacer to the skids to allow clearance, but you may not be able to line up the trans skid if you got the full set.

 

It's not a dedicated trail rig. I drive it all over the place.

KDSS allows the suspension to flex without fighting the sway bars. So, for a weekend warrior, it's the best of both worlds.

The whole thing was a wrestling match. They look good, and I'm sure they'll do their job. The build quality is definitely solid. But, we really had to work to get everything to fit.

 

I know what the KDSS does, mine had it too but I removed it. The truck rides so much better without it and the articulation off road is way better and safer. Mine is my daily driver also and not a dedicated trail rig.

 

To each his own. Ride quality is a matter of personal preference. The fact is that a truck with sway bars will generally have less body roll.

The articulation with KDSS is still better than a PRO or any other stock, non KDSS 4runner.

Not sure how removing it made the truck safer. Also not sure why you would pay extra for a feature and then remove it.
