So I noticed my rims are looking really bad lately. The lettering is starting fade which is surprising since my truck is garage kept. Any ideas how to get my rims looking new again?

Yikes, that red TRD logo looks quite faded. Judging from the brown tire (unless it's a reflection) it looks like you use tire shine quite liberally...or you just get your tires dirty. A regular microfiber rag with car wash, or microfiber mitt, should clean those up with no issue. If you'd rather, you can get any number of "wheel cleaner" products from Meguiars, Mothers, etc.

I will try to wash it this week, being in the monsoon season makes it hard when everyday from 2-5 we get mini severe monsoons.

It is just dirty, I haven't used a tire shine in a while. However, I'm wondering what product to apply to keep them from fading like that.

Keep in mind, the wheels are matte black, not gloss. Even crispy clean looks dull. Just the price we pay for nice wheels.
Ps, cleaning inside all the little links s#cks.

I love my Pro, Just don’t care for the finish on the matte black wheels. Much harder to keep clean because of the finish.

I always pull them and give a good coat of wax inside and out about once a year. Makes regular cleaning a breeze and they aways look new unless they get rashed

I'm back resurrecting my own thread. I was wondering if a new center cap would be able to solve the fading, it seems to be concentrated just on one rim, but worry that there would be a color difference?

And yes I know my wheels look absolutely disgusting, my whole truck does and so does everyone's cars, once it stops raining I am going to have the truck detailed, and hopefully, they can resurrect my wheels, as they seem to be too far gone to make them look clean again. Last time I detailed them with the above-mentioned suggestions it seemed as if they have some permanent stains, so maybe a place can help, anyone have any other suggestions?

Chemical guys recommends many tire and rim cleaners. I use meguires but read there are better ones. Most are rim/paint safe

What kind of cleaner are you using on the wheels? I ask because I have a 2017, and the red on my wheels still looks pretty good. I've never used a wheel cleaner on mine. Just wash with regular car soap. Apply tire shine, then clean the wheels again with a quick wash style cleaner. Alot of those wheel cleaners are pretty abrasive, made for alloy/chrome wheels and I think they will wear away at the finish.

Was just curious because it does seem to be a common thing people complain about, just trying to prevent that issue on mine. Best bet at this point might be new center caps.

Also, I've read about a matte wheel cleaner people swear by. Maybe made by griots garage? just never bothered to order it yet.

Here's a list I found. I use meguires non acid mix but usually don't let mine get that built up. I read the one with iron is good

Thank you for the suggestions, im going to try a hand wash place and see if they have some of this stuff, as i live at an apt that prohibits personal washes, then if need be I can go to a do it your self place with suggested products, now what to do about my center cap?

Sorry wheels are dirty now (winter) but it gives you an idea, those decals are still like new after 3 years. D0972FA5-8AE1-4FDB-8086-F5543EFAB2C3.jpg

Those look great and it is nice to know they last longer, my rims are about 2 years old and one is completely faded and one is starting in the corners.
