Hate to create a new thread, but I have searched, but I probably am not using the correct names for the parts, so I am not getting anywhere!

    2010 Limited 4Runner.
Some degenerate tried to break in using a slim jim. Good news is they were not successful... Destroyed the rubber wiper/seal that is probably designed to keep water out of the door. Both front and back doors impacted. Since my deductible is high, looking at replacing these myself.

Anyone do this? It appears to be a rubber piece attached on the top of the door, but can't tell if it is attached internally, or simply snapped to the top of the door.

Can this part be replaced without disassembly of the whole door? Does the glass have to be removed? Trying to assess how involved this might be before I order the parts.

    Thanks!

i believe you're referring to the belt molding which is #1 pictured. i have a 2016 limited which came with chrome window weather stripping and i converted it to the black rubber ones. all i did was roll down the windows and pried it out. i didn't remove the glass. there are a few vids on youtube. i removed and replaced all 4 of mine, but i damaged 2 of them. any case my goal was to replace them :)

Wow! That is so helpful! Appreciate your response and that you even included the part numbers! I don't suppose you did your rear liftgate belt molding too? Is that about the same process?

Thanks again, Daytonaviolet! I am not sure if you are old enough to remember "The Shell Answer Man" - but you are it!
