I haven't found a good spot to mount my fire extinguisher. In the ol taco it was just under the rear passenger seat. That was in an access cab so it was accessible from the drivers seat.
I finally decided to make my own bracket. The plan is to extend the front seat bolts with bushings and longer bolts then mount a piece of flat metal between the two longer bolts. Finaly I'll just mount the extinguisher to the flat stock steel.
    I'll get pics up soon.

Mine fits in the little cubby hole on the passenger side in the cargo area. I also put a roll of paper towels, keeps it in place haven’t had any issues. I’ll take and post a picture when I get a chance.

I thought about that but I want it somewhere semi-accessible from the driver seat.

This is the first vehicle I’ve owned that I put one in so, it fit there great no extra work or mounts. Just like a firearm I guess better to have and not need than need and not have.

I decided to use my seat bolts for mounting. 20200221_151345.jpg

I took some flat stock. I cut it to the right length and drilled holes for the seat bolts. I hit it with some bedliner and bought longer bolts from the hardware store.
20200221_153809.jpg then I just used some self tapping screws and added the extinguisher brackets.
    20200223_085211.jpg
I used rubber shock bushings as a spacer to hold the bracket up about 1"
    20200223_092008.jpg
Here's the finished product. I may have to make a few tweaks. The seat is blocked, by the extinguisher, from sliding completely forward. It suits me just fine at 5'8 but anyone much shorter may have issues.

Nice, I like that it is visible. I noticed your profile says an OR with a Blitz bumper and Warn winch. I’m just getting started down this road. I ordered the Blitz and it’s in production at Victory 4x4 and I have the winch, it’s a VR Evo 10s. What winch did you use? Any photos? Also, did you install this yourself? I plan to install it myself, so any tips are appreciated. Thanks, SgtKeebler!

I have a warn VR8. I install it all myself including cutting the front bumper for the blitz bumper. Definitely recommend having a helping hand.

Great, although at the moment I don’t have a helping hand, haha. I was going to use a floor jack to hold the bumper in place when I put on the bolts securing it - is that the place where a helping hand is needed?

I installed a Warn semi hidden winch mount on my tacoma. I used a jack with a section of 2x6 to support the mount while I attached it to the frame. Worked fine.
