I like the design on the new Defender. I also like the current design you guys have. There’s nothing like that out there that I know of.

Engineering has been busy with other projects in the process of getting parts cut (Land Cruiser, 4th Gen, Jeep etc.), so it has taken longer than I expected! They have been testing several different mounting options for a more secure/stronger ladder. Once the design is finalized, we can create pricing and share. I'll share as soon as I have more info!

I’m going to defend Victory 4x4 on this one, hang in there Jynarik. They have great designs and offer great customer service. Whatever they come up with for the ladder will be worth the wait.

Hey BYKmatty, as I shovel out myself after a big winter snow storm, and try to pressure wash the salt and sand from my 4 Runner brought on by the slurry of salt and sand that is spread on all the roads here, forgive me if I don’t feel too sorry for you living on a tropical paradise in the middle of the Pacific Ocean. Haha. Whatever it costs to live there, be happy, man, it’s paradise. Some day if I save all my money, I hope to get to visit your part of the world and experience it myself for a few weeks.

Honest question. Is shipping to Hawaii expensive for everything or do some vendors gouge? Most vendors I know pretty much pass on shipping cost to the customer.

Yeah, shippers like to use convenient commercial services that are mostly based on air freight. Not necessarily the cheapest. When I send packages to family and friends long distances, I wait in the post office line up and if there’s no rush I try to send it by ship (surface) means. No one in business can afford to do that, haha. But, hey, those higher shipping costs to a place like Hawaii need to be placed in context with the lower costs of such things as heating buildings and winter clothes. Haha.

I would love a c4 style ladder with a lower price! Aluminum would be nice too. Any price estimate on the new rack yet?

Victory already makes a cool ladder. The one on Greenlane is a great choice too, and you’ll benefit from the favourable exchange rate. Lots of options!

yeah, it’s on their web site. Go to 4 Runner, products, page 3. I tried one on a 4 Runner in their shop and it worked great and looks cool.

That's a step ladder. That mounts to their adventure carrier. That mounts to their bumper. Not exactly what started this post, which is what I am asking about.
And I should've been more specific, but what I am asking the OP about.

Ladder, step ladder, hatch ladder, haha, a distinction without a difference, haha. Isn’t it all about getting up to your cargo rack to access something?

The final prototype will be cut today or tomorrow and it should be released by early next week! It will have Rotopax mounting locations on the face of each step and multiple mounting locations up the side for things like quickfist mounts! I will post photos as soon as the protoype is installed.

Pinstripes, lots of em. Plus a couple dents.
How about 2 ladders? One on each side. Give us double the carrying capacity.
