Has anyone installed a fridge slide directly to the floor of their 4runner? Currently running a Dometic CFX50, and am hoping to mount a slide directly to the floor without a floor plate.

I put a 1/2” piece of plywood down and mounted my slide to that. Bolted it down to the OE locations.

I had a pic somewhere but can’t find it now.

I made a platform that is even with the rear seat when they are folded down. It sits on the OEM carpet and it bolted down to the OEM locations. Mounted the fridge slide to it.

I was looking at getting a fridge and I wondered what you think of Dometic? Does the CFX50 compare in size to the 50 qt ARB? It seems like quite a few Mount their fridge slide on sheet of plywood rather than directly into the vehicle floor. How did you end up installing it? Last question: did you use the ARB wiring kit to wire it directly into your battery, or how do you power it?

I have had the dometic for 4+ years and it has been fantastic. I have not mounted it to the floor in the trunk space, it is just strapped down tucked into the corner (no point in mounting it to the floor if you don't have too). Mine is hard wired to the battery, which I personally think is a must if you plan on using your fridge regularly.

The plan is to do a full goose gear set up at some point, but for the meantime this should do just fine.
