I'm seeing conflicting information on this. Do I really need to remove the mirror to pop off the body color cap? Some people are showing saying to just pull from in the bottom corner and the cap pops off? Just seeing what other people have found?

One guy busted his mirror housing going through the bottom. To me makes zero sense as the mirroir pops out in less than 10 seconds. Maybe a minute 1st time as one is nervous. Tilt the mirror and tug it right out

For me it is nerves for sure. Hearing those popping sounds, on a brand new vehicle.... oh man.

Haha! So just like snake lights but for places with rain. Mounted under the mirrors?

Apparently, they are designed you certain of security when you approach or leave the vehicle. Many times I would just as soon be in the stealth, unobtrusive mode.

Just grab firmly on the cover and pull. Comes right off.
