My clutch kinda engages in the medium position. Just enough to creep.

Much better than the VW Rabbit and the Ford Focus ST I've driven.

I daily drove and wheeled an Isuzu Rodeo 5 speed 4x4 for my first 2 years behind the wheel. The clutch was medium i'd say. I only stalled it probably less than 10 times. I took to driving a stick pretty well. I always liked floating 2,3,4 and 5. And even back down!

Yeah, I was a badass. haha

my cougar was a 3 speed on the floor. clutch was partially engaged and the spring was so worn you just set your foot on the clutch and it would disengage. was my first manual vehicle. That thing was a bitch. But i loved that car. Also was power steering but broken so it was tougher than manual steering. if you werent moving, neither was the wheel.

Also my 91 toyota pickup had bad syncro's and would throw it out of 1st and 3rd so id have to hold it in gear. It ruined me for constantly holding on to my shifter that i still do.

Hmm... That's interesting. As long as the clear lays on alright and you sand and polish it, it should pretty much match.

I stalled again today but I was being impatient. I've been lucky to not stall with people behind me getting pissed off lol

I'm happy my synchros are healthy, but I have a Toyota parts hookup, so if my synchros go, I'll get a new trans and have this one rebuilt.

3rd gear sometimes feels like it's clashing when I go from 2nd to 3rd, but it might just be my mind, or sometimes I catch myself lifting off the clutch just slightly before I get all the way into third. Certainly not popping out of gears, thank God.

might just be the transition youre making. try moving over further before engaging, or bringing it closer to yourself. could make a difference, not sure cause I've never driven a toyota manual

I came up on a bad accident today, stopped to help as it must have happened fairly recently. Amazing how people are content just driving by.

The karma I get for my good deed is a random Air Bag light. WTF.

True. I've been getting better. I was making a pattern like this:
    |
    /
    |

    Then tried this:
    |
    -
    |

And it works much better. It's funny because my 4th to 5th shifts are fine. Hmm.

If I can help, I stop. Good for you for stopping man. You can hope that someone would do the same for you some day.

That's exactly right. I was glad no one was hurt but was ready to spring into action... been trying to use my new tow strap! Lol. Both cars still ran.

Airbag light turned out to be a loose connection under passenger seat. Thank god for having shop manuals at my disposal. Saved me some $$$.

My backpack keeps setting off my passenger seatbelt alarm and it starts beeping at random times and it scares me cause it sounds like a warning like something's broken on my truck. Once I realize what it is, no problem, but it's unexpected.

My 4R had the seatbelt chime disabled. I need to have Toyota do that for me. I always drive with my seatbelt on, but I hate when it beeps if I'm moving it in my driveway or whatever

Both driver and passenger seat belt warnings just blink at you endlessly in my truck. A friend's CRV actually says over the speakers for you to fasten your seatbelt. Annoying as hell.

My backpack regularly makes my passenger seatbelt warning light blink. like i said no chime though. The airbag light had me worried that a sensor or something somehow got damaged. Luckily just a loose plug from when I was digging around under the seat.

Hmmmmmmm maybe your 4R's chime was disabled too?

It would make more sense in the FJ to not have seatbelt chimes, not in the family wagon, you want them there

I think you have a winch

I suggest you make a bumper out of a stronger material than cardboard, but if you're set on cardboard, coat each piece with wood glue to water proof it.

Also, cardboard tubes make great recovery points

Hahah no man in noy going to us the cardboard as my bumper.... i cut it to the same shape as the bumper and the cut it into segments to use a guide for the plasma cutter. That way i can see it and have kind of a stencil for my steel. Im using 3/4 diamond plate steel for the bumper and 1/4 in thick steel tubing. Holy crap my dude hahaha
