Just took some pics of the 2020 rental head unit I got randomly while on a trip.

However I noticed that aside from CarPlay, the only real change in the head unit is the fuel economy and range, which I assume is connected to the main dash.

The main dash does show some changes to functionality and menus—Mainly all related to fuel economy, short-term and also since-refuel tank fuel economy.

Thus I wonder if, after swapping the head unit, getting it to show the fuel economy on its main screen will also require a swap of the main dash.

The lack of silver trim as my 2014 trail has around the gauges makes that 2020 look very cheap in that area.

Yeah aside from the new color data screen, they made the new gauges black and white, making it seem more dated than my 2019 limited.

It'll be easier to sell your 19 and get a 20 vs retro fitting those items.

I believe it was on T4R I read just the head unit was over $4500 plus your truck doesn't have the TSS etc.

Yeah def not worth the effort to swap it out. Best to just get a third party android head unit
