Am I the only one?

So every freaking time I utilize push to talk from the steering wheel and say something like....Call Betty Humpter....it then prompts me and says something like....Betty Humpter only has one number is this the number you'd like to call?

Every freaking time. YES! Call the only number for Betty Humpter.

Is there a way around this? Am I a friggin' moron? Just call the dadgum number.

 

My wife doesn't use voice commands. @ approx 6k a year & a daily commute of 24 miles round trip. She barely makes or takes calls in the truck. She won't (I did) link text so it could read them to me instead of me reading & driving.
I cannot get I heart radio or Pandora to work without bluetooth. I need to reread the manual!
I now realize this is a worthless post. Sorry!

I don’t have that problem, i actually like to use voice control!
Unfortunately I got that heavy, ugly accent and until the 4Runner I was cursing to all the other systems because they never understood me. No problem here, not even with wired names and there is no request like yours do!

 

It drives me crazy because my old ride didn't do this. My contacts in my phone are either messed up or there is just something real simple that's not set up right.

 

I guess there is something wrong in your contacts. Maybe you got Betty two times in your contacts but just once incl. phone #?

 

I'm thinking it's something similar. I have two contact apps for some reason. One for Google and the other for Samsung. I uninstalled the one for Samsung and will see if that fixes the issue.

You’re not the only one; this happened to me a year or so ago … so what I did on my iPhone was separate a few contact’s and purge all my synced data in radio; turn radio on/off then reconnected iPhone. Never had another issue after that.

TIP: Here’s a something that I learned and wanted to share thinking back when this happened to me… Be careful using Microsoft Office365 App it sometimes can merge Personal & Business contact information on your phone. I used this app to check my company emails and all of sudden I had a contact list of 55,000 employees!

 

Mine does this thing where i tell it something like “hey Siri text Jack” then it asks me what I want to text, but then mic stops working.
