My mistake I misread that. It is 37' still better than a bronco though

you got it right, the Ecoboost is something you don’t want - since eurocar usual smaller there is nothing else then Ford ecoboost engines and they make trouble!!!

So, you're on a forum for a vehicle that you consider a turd?

The old Broncos were definitely great off road vehicles. There's no denying that.

But, to call the 4runner a commuter car is pretty silly.

If 4 wheel steering is what makes a vehicle off-road worthy in your eyes, by all means go get the new Bronco. Enjoy making slightly tighter U-turns.

I'll take Toyota reliability over 4 wheel steering any day.

I'm glad for your opinion, still means nothing to me. Life choices lead me to the TuRD station wagon for good or ill. I still own one for now, i apologize for having a different opinion then others. Doesn't make it better or worse, but it is my own. My 4runner is my commuter car. Just how it is. Your looking for issues that aren't there. I never said duel axle steering makes a 4x4. Just that i would like the improvement. I really have no interest in any new car/truck coming out, would rather build not buy to my preference.

I think the eco boost is pretty reliable now that all the bugs have been worked out. Many have well above 150K miles on them. I would own a Ranger before a Tacoma these days. It's a better truck than the Tacoma with the 3.5 IMO. Of course it's still hit or miss just like any man make product. An since Ford makes so many vehicles you will have more misses than with companies that don't produce the volume they do.

No need to apologize for your opinion. We all have different preferences.

I'm not looking for any issues. The 4runner is an excellent vehicle with real off road capability regardless of your opinion.

Go get your Bronco. I'll come pick you up when it breaks down.

Funny, over 20 years and never left me stranded. I only hope this throw away will get me half that long. Good to know you speak from experience.

Don't get offended. Most people will trade in or sell before the loan is paid for. Gotta have that new model. The manufacturers ( all of them, looking to make money) know this and design them to last only so long.

    Soo.. Where is it now?

The 4runner is, in fact, one of the most reliable vehicles money can buy. That's based on experience, and reality.

    Gentlemen,
Calm down. We all like & enjoy whatever we use it for.
The EcoBoost is now a good engine for certain vehicles. I don't think it belongs in the F-150. That needs the 5.0 for work. I also don't understand the need for a 10spd transmission but that is me.
We are all entitled to our opinion; even if other think it sucks.

Again, life choices. Sold it. Still going strong with it's new owner pushing 300k on the odometer. Again, you fan boyz are looking for drama where there is none. The TuRD is a good station wagon, no doubt. Kinda why i spent to much on it ( and still do to make it to my liking). Still would rather not have the " trophy seats, soccer mom doors" and yes would be nice to have duel axle steering... To keep the thread on track. So much drama over nothing.

You are officially delusional. Toyota has been making the same 4runner for 10 years, and people keep buying them because they know they're bulletproof.

You should probably think before you post. Just because you liked your Bronco doesn't change facts. Do a little research before you start throwing stones.

    Who's looking for drama? You're on a 4runner forum, owning a 4runner, talking shit about 4runners.

Fanboys love things despite facts. I love 4runners because of facts.

Calm down everyone and let’s remember what’s really important: Al Bundy did FOUR touchdowns in one match and ensured the title for the Polk Highschool Panthers in 1966

if i was talking shit i would say they "suck" never said so. Just said i wouldn't mind the duel axle steering and FSB had a better turning radius. Maybe you all have you panties in a bunch because i call my TRD premi the "TuRD" oh the horror.

You called it a "throw away" when you definitely know better.

BTW, third row seats are not available on the TRD, so what year and trim is your 4runner again?
