Any recommendations on 2020 SR5 P security system. The dealership offered Karrs Security system for $999 + 19.99 a month to NICB incase its stolen. I thought that was kinda pricey. Any info? TIA

I called the dealer yesterday regarding the RS3200 security system as I read some good stuff about it and spoke with the new vehicle serviceman. He told me the RS3200 is Toyota's genuine security system and that the Karr system they are pushing in finance is an aftermarket security system. The RS3200 isn't out yet and unknown when it will be. Cost is $700 installed. He told me he would install the Karr System for me at $400, $600 cheaper than the finance guy told me, unbelievable. Do not trust the finance guy.

Look up Drone Mobile. They have the prices for the phone app. I have the basic app and got the 5 year plan. $2.99 a month

I'm not using an app on my phone. The system I got came with a keyring module that the system scans for. When I walk up to the vehicle, roughly about 10-15 ft away, it will sense the module and disarm and unlock the drivers door. Then when I get out, I simply close the door and walk away. The system senses the module is no longer near the vehicle and locks and arms the vehicle. While inside the truck it remains disarmed. Which I found is the only part I had to get used to, either I need to leave a door open (so the system can't arm), or leave my keys inside the vehicle when going back and forth..or at a gas station with family in the car...as if I close the door and get just far enough for the system to arm, then they can set it off by vibration, opening a door etc.. With that being the only draw back (the proximity can be turned off), I love what it does. Grab tools or bags and just close the door, not having to worry about pressing lock on the fob.

I’m old school. I still unlock my door with the physical key. Us use the fob to lock it though so I know the key is in hand.
