Does anyone know if you can use the same tpms sensors/stems on the trd pro wheels as the stock 7 spoke off road wheels (2020)? my dealer is saying they will likely need new tpms sensors due to the angle of the wheel is different by 20%.

If the new ones are 2020. They changed the frequency and older ones won't work. Also becareful, many shops can see 2020 Tpms but not program yet. Aftermarket currently does not work so need OEM and Toyota to program them

the vehicle is 2020 off road. what do you mean by change frequency? (answering my own question i think... frequency of the communication from sensor to vehicle)

Go to the parts department and ask them to pull the part number for the TPMS off the two models. Easiest way to tell if there is any difference. I'm going to say they are full of crap though. I would just call a reputable online dealer since the one you are currently going to seems to be trying to take your money from you.

The wheels are currently on my 2018 TRD ORP. I'm interested in some ICON's or maybe Method's

Cool ty!! So stock it won’t rub turning in reverse or anything with a 275? That’s great news!

So I need better pictures. If it ever stops raining in Houston, I'll take some.

I went with 2021 TRD Pro wheels on my 21 TRD ORP. Lift is Bilstein 5100's. Front set at 1.75" and Bilstein B12 1" springs in the rear.

Tires are stock size (265/70r17) Falken Wildpeak AT3W.

Correct. Trail / ORP owners getting TRDPRO wheels are a downgrade IMO.
I don't know why Toyota use skinnier wheels on expensive TRD Pro.

But would they work or be an upgrade for a SR5P 2021?

For sure they will work, but won't be an upgrade as both SR5 and TRD Pro are 7 in wheels. For my money I would go aftermarket for good set of wheels that is recommended for running bigger tires (most common 285/70R17). For example y'day there's a post for new icon wheels with new beadlock technology. I'm liking those and would definitely look at those to upgrade my TRD Pro wheels so I can run 285s or bigger.

Thank you for the response I have no lift so not sure I can run such bigger tires. But I will look into the icons

Hi all, new to the forum. I've got 2018 limited. Its time for me to change/upgrade tires. I was looking at KO2 the 275/55/20 on a factory wheel. Has anyone done it and/or what is your recommendation? I am sorry if this is answered already.

    Thanks y'all

Would it be safe to go with 265/60R20 KO2s? I dont' know if i wanna change the rims yet. And I am sorry i am not that well versed on the tires and wheels.

    I could be wrong but I think it could be a bad idea;

    1. 265/60R20 tire is a pretty tall tire and you might have rubbing issues
    2. All tires I see in size 265/60R20 are Load E tires which would give you a hash ride on pavement

I went with wildpeak at3w and 17 inch wheels. It rubs on full turn. Now i need to lift it up a little so i am thinking bilstein 5100 with 2 inch lift in the front n 1 inch at the back. Does anyone have a link to videos in youtube for 5th gen limited?
