Put in Morimoto 35W 5500K HIDs tonight. The visibility difference is, well, night and day. I followed the DOT guidelines for adjusting optically-aimed headlights (projectors) and had to adjust them downward several inches from 25 feet to wrangle them into compliance. I must say I appreciated the pitch-black test drive I took this evening through the back roads. The high beams look yellow in comparison now. Rather striking how different it is. Reckon I’ll work on those next. No photos of the 4Runner because it looks like every other photo or YouTube video of the type. So find one of them and imagine. :)

I made some blocks so I'd be able to turn my GFC back door into an awning. Works great! Eventually I'll be putting a grommet on the flap instead of using the tarp clamps, wanted to make sure it all worked before I put a hole in my tent.

My wife says I love our T4R more than her... It is that bad. LMAO Witch is more expensive?

I ordered my lift today. Won't be done until the 16th. Bilstein 6112s and 1/4 spacer on driver's side front, 5160s rear with Icon 2" springs. SPC UCAs and diff drop. Method 701s and Falken Wildpeaks in 275. Shop said would most likely need a BMC and trimming for the 285s. So stoked, can't wait for my early Christmas gift to myself.

4Runners are a strange breed, seems like each one is a little different than the other. I even read a few guys that say they got 285s to work with stock suspension, can’t imagine there is too much room for wheel travel when off roading. I think you will be happy with that set up, the ride is noticeable improved, and it’s a good bang for your buck. What notch are you going to put the 6112s up front on?

Lol, camera sees better than me! I got my hid bulbs today and plan on installing this weekend. Wanted to grab a "before" picture showing the weak stock halagens.
I look at the picture and just wonder why my eyes can't see this good with those shabby lights. Pic taken with a night vision setting with phone planted dead center the steering wheel. No fogs on

Can you take before and after installation measurements so we can get an idea of how much lift the new Fox shocks give you? My guess is that it'll be roughly 0.5" taller in the front when all settled. Looks like the shock on the right is the drivers side shock and will compensate for drivers side lean.

Will do Jake. The Pro i recently measured at the dealer was 1” Higher in the front than my Off Road. Correct the one to the right is the LF. Thanks.

    Will do bud.
I’ve already upgraded the rear Shocks with Fox 2.0’s witch doesn’t add any lift.

    304B4DD7-3365-42E4-865A-14CEEE9A0B86.jpg

By adding the TRD Fox in the Front I’ll accomplish my Overall goal of just a slight lift in the front.

Next I need to decide on a Tire and Wheel Combo.

I had the New 2.0 Fox Shocks on the bench for a while and decided to use them.
I’ve used these in the past and have had good results, thanks.

I say it all the time, if you don't like your vehicle enough that you want to turn around and admire it, you paid for the wrong vehicle.

The other day I washed mine up and got it looking good, then I went inside and called the wife and kids outside like there was something important to see... When they got outside I pointed at the 4runner and said, look how good that looks... All 3 of them gave me dirty looks and went back inside :D

Blacked out badges, window deflectors, smoked 3rd brake light. I have a Borla muffler on order as well as some color matched engine cover stickers. I'll be painting the stock wheels soon as well. Falken tires in the fall as well.
That's funny as hell! I've been tempted to do the same with the wife but I already know the attitude I'd get! I will admit that the first time she saw the Runner she loved the Nautical Blue and understood why I wanted it so much.
I do just stand and look at it sometimes and just walk around it. It's a great looking truck!

Installed the AJT designs climate control knobs, went with the cement color since its closer match to the silver oem pieces. i think it looks good.

Nitto Terra Grapplers...they were put on by the dealer when I bought the truck, so I’ve had them since day one. The new suspension definitely brought things up a bit though!
