Yeah, the moonshine I drink is not from a store. Fix it with those bright red cherries and you talking about good. Pineapple isn’t bad either but I typically drink mine clear with a couple cubes of ice in a bourbon glass, but start drinking when you fire up the grill and by the time food is done try not to drop it..lol

My favorite moonshine is the apple pie. An old feller close to me makes some good stuff.

    Cheers, all!

We just got home from family time and a great meal. I'm capping the night off with a beer and a Scotch, neat.

I hope everyone had a good day today!

    This sounds like fun!

It reminds me of the people I met up north last month who were making sauerkraut. It was mostly just a bunch of people drinking beer in a garage. Good times!:)

Way too much. Usually Vodka and tonic. Also like Scotch, Irish whiskey and occasionally store bought moon shine ... Tim Smith's. Those are drunk clean, out of the bottle and into a glass. Rum ain't bad in eggnog, either. Finally got smart quite a few years ago, and won't drive after, even after one. Been one lucky somenabitch. Oh yeah, and a beer after we go shootin'. Other than that, not a big beer drinker.

It's embarrassing to admit, and extremely selfish, but I also use to drink and drive regularly when I was younger. Times I didn't even remember driving home. Parked my truck in the back yard and come out next dsy thinking someone stole it. And even worse, I'd bar hop on my Harley and get so trashed I couldn't walk hardly and ride it home. Sat at a stop light one night with a cop behind me and fell right over on the bike i was so drunk. Think the cop just thought my foot slipped cause he didn't bat an eye.

I now understand how selfish I was. It's one thing to not care about my own life but I had no right to jeopardize the life of someone's child, mother, sister, ect...

Definitely agree about the drinking and driving. I got lucky many times when I was younger and dumber.

I'm glad I'm not so reckless anymore.

I wont drive on pavement after drinking more than 2... Occasionally when the wife and I are out at a restaurant i will have 1 or 2 and drive home, but i wont have more than 2. The wife likes to drink as well, so we take turns being the driver.

I fish quite a bit, and love having some beer while fishing... My brother in law likes fishing as well, but doesnt drink very much, so it works out. He drives most the time.

Hey Allabout, my turn. Went to a buddie’s 50th ‘bout 20 years ago. The ex didn’t want to go because her mother was staying with us that night. I took the Lexus ‘cause my buddy knew my 4Runner. “Give me a double Scotch, how much?” Open bar was the answer. Chevas please! Way too many. Now it’s time to go home. Chuck, you need a ride home. “I ain’t leavin’ Her car here.” Long story short, I made it home. Only about a mile in an urban area. Took some back streets. When I got to work the next day, I asked if I needed to apologize to anyone. Nope, although the buddy that followed me home said “You drive amazingly well for a drunk.” That kinda scared me.

Good to hear!! And you stayed up past 9pm, good job "old man" :D

I gotta get up a bit early... Taking my 4runner in for its 10K service... Im only at 8K, and id much rather do it myself, but i read a few incidences of people being denied warranty work because they did their own oil changes and couldnt prove they did it. Which is stupid.

Im in college for auto technology and performance. 2 years, monday-friday, over 1800 hours of hands on training.... I started this as a hobby, because im a disabled veteran and dont work, but wanted something to get me out the house... I am definitely capable of doing an oil change, and likely way more capable than the young quick lube kids at the dealership, especially when working on my own vehicle. So i will be talking with the dealership and finding out the rules on doing my own service work while im there.

Kind of off topic, kind of not.... But im getting closer to finishing my garage. Its 36X41. 2 10x10 doors set up to drive through it. Only 1 bay, lots of room for working on 1 car at a time. I dont store my vehicles or boats in there... Just for auto work. Still need to have electric ran, which is costing me just over $5k due to the amount of power i want in it, and the distance it is from my house power, about 200 feet away.... and then i will be installing a 2 post lift. Excited, now if only i could just save up the money for the electric install LOL

I wish I could come down and wire it for you! Are you getting a dedicated service? Or, just running a sub-panel from the house?

$5k doesn't sound bad, considering you're probably going to need a 100 amp panel, and I assume you're going to have a welder and a compressor.

If you can, I would recommend some LED high bays with 0-10 volt dimming. If you're anything like my friends and I, you'll probably be hanging out in there even when you're not working on something. If you have dimmable lights, you can back them down a notch when you don't need it super bright

Sub panel from the house. I looked into dedicated service but the monthly fee even if i wasnt using ANY electricity was $30 bucks... Seemed like in the long run it would've cost a lot more.

Yes 100amp, 2 separate 220 volt outlets dedicated for the larger items and hard wired 220 volt for the 2 post lift. Then 12 other normal outlets. price includes all the LED lights. There was no dimmer included but the price does include having lights on 2 separate switches, so i can only have a couple lights on when i am hanging out having drinks, and all the lights on when i need it bright to work. I didnt even think of a dimmer....

Total price is either 5800, if they dig the trench, or 4800 if i dig it... So $1000 to dig... Ill most likely dig LOL

Come on down, its nice and warm. I got the AC running right now in the house! Drinks will be provided, and we can catch some fish before and after working :D

I dont fish for bass much, but theres some nice ones around here... Caught this guy while fishing for catfish. He took a live nightcrawler in the middle of the night.

Caught this guy while fishing for bass.... JUST KIDDING :D

Sharks from either the kayak or the mako, more fun from the kayak, more relaxing from the mako boat!!

You ever been bowfishing? Thats a shit ton of fun there. Its like a mix of hunting and fishing.

    Some really cool fish there!

I'm guessing that is a blue catfish? That's one of the fish I really want to catch!

Yep a blue. That day we caught blues, Flathead, and channel cats. Had a good time. The one on the cooler is the one I'm holding above...

I keep saying that I'm going to do some freshwater fishing while I'm down there. I always end up having so much fun in the salt that I never do. I'd love to get into some catfish one of these times.

I catch a fair amount of these, but they don't get very big.
