Not really sure what tires are on it. They’re a full on 35” mud tire, just don’t know the brand.

 

And I’d rather have her jeep wrangler than anything. Probably the baddest wrangler on the planet.

Jeeps are just toys, not daily vehicles or even close to a T4R. The grass is always greener.

 

I’d never drive ANY suv for a daily driver. I’m a truck guy.
You’d have to see the Wrangler to understand. Dana 60’s or 70’s (can’t remember) Dodge Hellcat engine, and lots and lots of other goodies. It’s been featured in countless magazines and off-road shows.

 

My daily is my F-250 diesel or ram 2500 diesel work trucks.
One drive of my wife's T4R & I was hooked. If I didn't cut grass (lawn trailer) & push snow; I would be driving one!
I drove a Oldsmobile Bravada in the late 90's & the 4runner feels like that on steroids. Plus all the mods...
Why do you prefer a truck that rides & handles like a wheelbarrow? LMAO

 

Because I do things with a truck I couldn’t do with an SUV, or wouldn’t wanna do. Like haul wood, dead animals, trash, tools, etc.
I hate diesels. My truck is a diesel because it has to be... although the new 7.3 ford gasser super duty sure is looking tempting.

 

Sorry but I would’nt drive a Jeep if it was givin to me for free. I don’t care how bad it is..lol

The G class is a love or hate item. Plus, the historical significance of them...

 

They are nice if you have money to waste. My friend got a newer Mercedes and the check engine light came on and it was throwing a seatbelt code....Yes even the seatbelts need maintenance....

 

I was a bit snappy yesterday because my neighbors where burning trash. And I got blinded by some LEDs on Friday night. The love of my life is Mercedes (my dog)and I wouldn’t trade her for anything........

I always thought the G wagons were cool. I would go with the diesel, although newer diesels are less appealing due to the ridiculous emissions equipment.

Wranglers are totally amazing off road vehicles. As others mentioned, I'll take a T4R any day for a daily driver that's comfortable and capable. But, if I you just want to crawl over ridiculous obstacles, the Wranglers are pretty amazing.

Besides, it was a Jeep that inspired the heritage of the Landcruiser. Without the Landcruiser's off-road background, who knows what the 4runner would be.

 

Got her out yesterday due to 60 degree, sunny weather! Drove around a bit, filled her up with 93 octane, detailed her... then had to put her in. The wife named her "Dolly", as in Parton. Bodacious, bold and beautiful!

 

I was wrong, she said that this model actually produces 577HP! That thing is a beast! No wonder she drives it more than the R8!

 

I daily drove this Viper truck for 9 yrs. before the 4-Runner, best pickup i ever owned.

 

Beautiful truck. I would drive the hell out of that if I owned it. Tires every month! A V-10 pickup! Nice ride.

 

I just saw a Dodge dually on the highway. It was towing one of those huge trailers with three cars on it!!!

 

I drove it like it liked it, fast & surprised a lot of Corvettes. Very fun truck, i had it up to 158 mph going out to the desert, no one on the highway but me.

 

Gotta love the torque of the almighty Cummins. If they could only figure out how a transmission works! Hope it is a manual.

 

My Mom's boyfriend has 2. One 96-ish manual with about 800K last I heard. The other is '03-ish with around 400K. He obviously drives a ridiculous amount. Those things sounds beautiful and run like champs!

 

I think the trans is going on the property owner’s 97 V-10. I haven’t checked the fluid yet...
