hey guys, new to the forums and first post. I have scoured the internet and have yet to be able to find the right answer, so hoping for yalls help!

My rear window does roll down and back up, but only when I use the key in the tail gate. none of the front controls work. I push the button and not even a sound comes out. I have checked all fuses and everything seems to be ok. curious of any suggestions?

this car is about to hit 300,000 miles and im looking to start fixing up some issues in the next few months as I enjoy not having a car payment! Thanks in advance!

I would check the switch in the console for continuity. I'm guessing it took a crap or has gunk in it.

so I had a chance to pull it off and check, and apparently there is no wire harness there! (I bought it awhile ago, it never worked.) gonna attempt to dig behind the radio and see if it maybe is just lying back there.

Don't forget to make sure the window lock out is off too on the master driver's side window switch panel.

Try turning on/off your rear window wiper. It may not be in the full down position and if it's not, your window will not roll down.

I have the same issue with my '02. The switch is there but has no harness plugged int it. I swapped out my stock radio to replace it and looked around for a loose harness and couldn't find one.

Look under the center console. The switch was located by my ebrake maybe the harness is there?

If your rear wiper, window, rear dome light, defrost do not work make no sound/light at all, and if you replaced the switch and it's has wires connected it's a wiring problem. This pic is from the top of the liftgate and will cause many problems when broken!

None. Bone Stock. EXCEPT: Brushguard, tow hitch, both welded to the frame. It's good to have friends and a fully equipped garage!
Don't forget to check the circuit breaker as well as the fuses.
Having said that, not having any wires connected to the switch makes the switch work really poorly :D
Look for the wires/plug that are supposed to go to it. Unless the PO cut the whole thing off, or out of the harness, for some reason.

    Good luck to you!
    Pat☺
