I have a 93 with a blown 3.0 V6 Engine. I have a low hr Isuzi C240 diesel sitting in my shop. Has anybody done this swap? Can that Engine be mated to the stock autoToyota trans via a adapter? Anybody produce said adapter? I am just learning about these little trucks so any and all info appreciated. This truck also came with a extra trans and Tcase that I need to ID . I will post pics when I figure out how to do it. Thank you in advance. IMG_20191109_172544.jpg IMG_20191104_121507.jpg

I’m sorry I don’t get an helpful idea but that would be an awesome swap since these old diesel without a turbo are unbreakable!

I know the TDI swaps are pretty common also older Mercedes turbo diesels. I've even seen a 4BT in an early 90s Toyota pickup. I would check Marlin crawler for adapters. There's also a guy local to me that has done a few diesel swaps into Toyotas and machined all his own adapters. I can try and get his info of you would like.

Maybe check advanced adapters as well. I used a Toyota to GM adapter from them for a chevota build years ago.

I looked at Advanced adapters online list and didn't see anything but a phone call might help. What transmission is in a 93 ? How do you ID the Toyota transmissions? The extra one that came with the truck the guy said he didn't know what year or engine it was hooked to. I acquired this truck it's a long story but I kind of like the feel of the little bugger. Most of my vehicles are diesel and I would love to make this one. I have a 4BT also but it's a bit bigger and heavier than the Isuzu and appears it would take a lot to get it in there.
