Purchased a 5th gen Monday from a buddy of mine. Noticed the antenna cover is broken off (see pics). I think I’ve ordered the right part number (86077-35010) but is there anything else I should be looking at? Everything else seems pretty solid despite the small crack on top of the actual antenna.

Looks like maybe he grazed a garage door? If it was hard enough and forced the screws forward or back and stretched the holes at all, I’d want to be sure it’s sealed up real good. Although, you’d probably see evidence of leaking on the headliner.

Def no leakage. I’m going to reseal the bottom and once the cover comes in seal that up good as well. Headliner looks good as well.

That is what mine looks like on my 16 4Runner. Thought about replacing it but decided to not do it yet. I will keep an eye on this thread to see how hard it looks.

Received the part number mentioned above. I ordered black to play it safe. Cleaned the area well before applying silicone on the antenna and let that settle for a few days. I applied white marine silicone to make it more visible to ensure a good seal. I applied a clear gorilla glue silicone to the outside antenna cover so it’s hardly noticeable. Looks like an ordinary seal. I plan to go over it one more time just to make sure it’s solid but overall I’m pleased with how it turned out.
(I forgot to take pictures of the white seal around the actual antenna). Here is what I used and finished product.

Your cover came painted from toyota or you painted it? The cover on my 2020 is black plastic does not look painted. So the cover just snaps in down and locks in place? U had to snap it in place hard?

i ordered a black metallic painted one. I think The color of the vehicle is the deciding factor of color choice provided. My blue Tacoma has a matte/flat black finish cover.

it snaps into place from front to back with light pressure. I think it would be difficult to snap off.

Is that the clear silicone on the roof?

Man that would drive me nuts.

Glad we don't have/need XM here. Antenna just would be in my way.

It is. I wiped it away with rubbing alcohol. Just wanted it to set first.

keep in mind it’s only under the antenna now, not to be confused with the clean area of the roof lol

Doesn't look too bad. I will add that to the list of things I need to get done on mine.
