i know you dont have smog checks and whatnot like we do but dont you have inspections annually? Wouldnt this fully negate the legality of it? I have the smog mine this year, all i have to do is change the intake. My friends whole engine is illegal and not smog exempt. he has to just through hoops every two years.

Years ago, Massachusetts used to check emissions with a sensor in the tailpipe. The shop I go to doesn't. All most shops do is plug into the OBD-II port and check for error codes, I don't have. Problem solved! Thank god for not living in California!

 

At the exhaust shop now getting the y-pipe done. $100 out the door

 

its only a big deal to those outside of CA. I could care less about my cat and what its doing. It hasnt stopped me from modding my vehicles but everyone outside of california likes to think its a feather in their caps.

 

I'd just hate to have to redo my exhaust and intake every 2 years
