I have a 99 4runner and was wondering if 15x10's with an offset would fit?

I believe with stock brakes it should. I have a 98 that would not clear 15" wheels that I took off my 02 trd Tacoma. I tried several different sets of 15" wheels and none would clear the calipers. Come to find out whoever had it before me had done the tundra brake swap. Im running 16s now

Why do you want to go so wide? What size tires do you plan to run?

Ahh. You can probably put those on 9" wheels. Unless you have some picked out already. 10's should be fine, though.

I was just wondering because I have 265's on 9" wheels and I wish I had gone with 8" wheels.

There's another thread where this topic comes up and I believe he is running 15" pro Comp 69s and they clear the calipers

My concern was that narrow wheels are better for off roading. At least, I read that you're less likely to knock a tire off the bead when airing down. If not off-roading, probably not an issue.

I have 8" wide wheels on all 3 of my toyotas. My pickup used to be on 37"s I'd airdown all the time and never had a tire come off the bead. OP why exactly do you want such wide wheels just curious?

I'm actually planning on getting a set of the same wheels I have now in 8" and dedicated off road tires next year. Hopefully 285's

That would be nice being able to swap between street and off-road tires! I have some km2s with about 50% I run on the third gen in the summer and then throw the coopers on for the winter/hunting season.

Exactly! I'll keep the KO2's for winter and road trips. I'm looking at Milestar Patagonia M/T's for wheeling. Depends on my budget at the time, though.

Maybe I'll get a set for my first gen and see how they do. I want some for my excursion but after seeing how soft they are I'm thinking a fullsize heavy ass truck might not be the best for them.

Lots of great feedback. If you get some, post your thoughts. I'm pretty sold on them.
