I upgraded the horns on my Dodge Diesel, I used Wolo horns, I am looking at installing a hornblaster horn on my Corolla . The only trick is finding the space. On the runner, there is plenty of space behind the front bumper down low. What question specifically are you looking to get answered?

Got cha. Most of the loud stuff will require a relay installation and use your factory horn wire to trigger the relay that drives the aftermarket horn. (That is arguably the quickest way to set it up).

I have never seen a horn upgrade on any generate of 4Runner because it is good enough. Train horns in cars/SUVs are awesome not but not too sure they are legal but still think they are cool.

It looks like you will need an air compressor which is something guys are doing, then attached the trumpets to blow them away.

Hey Hunter (and anyone else stumbling on this thread even though it's a few years old), upgrading your horn is definitely a way to make a statement, especially if you're leaning toward a train horn. Since you're open to recommendations, let me toss one your way. Check out https://bosshorn.com/products/dewalt-train-horn. It's not just about volume; this horn brings quality and durability to the table as well. Given the age of your 4Runner and the thread, you may have already found a solution, but for others who are in the same boat, this could be a worthwhile upgrade. Just remember, a train horn is loud—like, really loud.

I ran this Wolo BadBoy running parallel with the stock horn. I did not use relay or anything. May not be the correct way but it worked when I had fun few times with my friends. Its not loud as those "train horn " to run alone.

Please share any other options I can install behind the grill and not have a separate air tank. Preferably all in one kit which I can install on that silver color bar with some holes over the crash bar thing. :)

Borla exhaust, Jet MAF sensor, K&N filter, Hayden rapid cool transmission cooler, Hella horns, electric fan, Pedal Commander, Derale power steering cooler,
I have use these Hellas for years on my 4runners. 118db legal and obnoxious. Can cause heart attacks in older people sleeping at stop sign. Had to use mine for someone driving in my lane first thing 20231030_174023.jpg 20231016_171041.jpg Screenshot_20231030_120143_Google.jpg Screenshot_20231030_121331_Google.jpg 20231030_174023.jpg 20231016_171041.jpg Screenshot_20231030_120143_Google.jpg
Hella $36 118db and obnoxious. Use relay or they won't get enough power to work right. I only plumbed into one horn wire. Grounded to body and 30 amp fuse block from battery to relay. I gave you some diagrams for reference. Pretty universal. They send wire to connect directly to factory wires, but your horns will be weak I have read from others. from people who have tried it
